AI Platform-Specific Rules
As an AI monitoring platform, AEO Optima interacts with third-party AI services. The following additional rules apply:
Prohibited AI-Related Activities:
- Manipulating AI Responses: Attempting to influence, bias, or "game" AI engine responses through prompt injection, adversarial inputs, or coordinated manipulation campaigns
- Overloading AI Providers: Using the Service to generate excessive requests to third-party AI models beyond what is necessary for legitimate monitoring purposes
- Violating AI Provider Terms: Using the Service in ways that violate the terms of service, acceptable use policies, or usage policies of third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity, etc.)
- Extracting Training Data: Attempting to extract, reconstruct, or infer training data from AI models through systematic prompting via the Service
- Deceptive Optimization: Using insights from the Service to create misleading, false, or deceptive content designed to manipulate AI model outputs rather than genuinely improving content quality
- Automated Prompt Generation: Using automated systems to generate large volumes of prompts designed to overwhelm or exploit the snapshot capture system
Permitted AI-Related Activities:
- Monitoring how AI models discuss your brand, products, or industry
- Analyzing AI response patterns to understand your visibility and competitive landscape
- Using insights to genuinely improve the quality, accuracy, and helpfulness of your web content

API & MCP Usage Rules
If you access the Service via the REST API or MCP server, the following additional rules apply:
- Authentication: All API and MCP access must be properly authenticated. Never share your API tokens or OAuth credentials
- Rate Limits: Respect the rate limits for your plan tier (e.g., 60 requests/minute, 1,000 requests/hour). Do not attempt to bypass rate limits through multiple accounts, IP rotation, or other means
- Capture Limits: Snapshot capture is limited (e.g., 10 captures/hour via API). This limit exists to prevent abuse of downstream AI provider resources
- Data Usage: Data retrieved via the API must be used in accordance with these Terms. Mass downloading or mirroring of Service data is prohibited
- User-Agent: API clients should identify themselves with a meaningful User-Agent string
- Error Handling: Implement proper error handling and exponential backoff. Do not aggressively retry failed requests
Resource Limits
Each subscription plan includes specific resource limits. These limits are designed to ensure fair use and service quality for all users. Key limits include:
| Resource | Free | Starter | Professional | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Projects | 1 | 3 | 10 | 50 |
| Prompts per project | 10 | 50 | 200 | 500 |
| Snapshots per day | 50 | 200 | 1,000 | 5,000 |
| Team members | 2 | 5 | 20 | 100 |
| Alert rules | 3 | 5 | 10 | 50 |
Attempting to circumvent these limits through any means (multiple accounts, API abuse, exploiting bugs, etc.) is a violation of this AUP. If you need higher limits, please upgrade your plan or contact us for Enterprise options.
Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against violations of this AUP. Enforcement actions may include, at our sole discretion:
- Warning: A written notice describing the violation and requesting corrective action
- Temporary Suspension: Suspension of your account or specific features while the issue is resolved
- Rate Limiting: Reducing your API rate limits or feature access
- Permanent Termination: Permanent closure of your account without refund for severe or repeated violations
- Legal Action: Pursuing legal remedies for violations that cause harm to us, our users, or third parties
The severity of enforcement will be proportional to the nature and impact of the violation. For first-time minor violations, we will generally attempt to resolve the issue through communication before taking more serious action.
We may also report illegal activities to the appropriate law enforcement authorities.
